Applying for the MS in Mathematics
Applications for the Master's Degree in Mathematics are made online through the university site. A link is below. Before you continue to that site, please note the following:
- You should have a bachelor's degree in mathematics or a closely related field, or a secondary (middle or high school) certification in mathematics.
- You should be prepared to submit transcripts from all previous colleges and universities.
- You will need to prepare an essay on how the MS in mathematics supports your educational goals. If necessary, the essay should explain past academic performance.
- You will need to have two letters of recommendation submitted on your behalf. They should indicate your preparation and ability to undertake and complete your graduate studies. They should from teachers or others familiar with your academic or professional work rather than character references.
- International students will need to have suitable TOEFL and GRE scores. See the university site for the exact scores needed for admission. Other students will not need such scores.
- Please keep in contact with the Department about your application so that we will know when you expect it to be complete.
